Spark Boda's 12-Day Journey to Innovation.

Spark Boda recently embarked on a 12-day pilot project, a real-world test of our innovative vision for urban transportation.
During the pilot we used the brand new Roam Air -  Made in Kenya! Thanks

The Journey Begins

Our journey began with our company partner, Moses, retrieving the Roam Air equipped with dual batteries from Nairobi for the trip to Eldoret. This marked the start of our pioneering pilot, with rider Elias at the helm of the bike for the subsequent 12 days.

Challenges and Operational Testing

Initial days posed some administrative challenges, but by the fourth day, we were fully operational. Utilizing dual batteries, the bike covered impressive distances, achieving a total of 1068 kilometers, averaging about 89 kilometers daily across 101 passenger journeys. Affirming our belief in this model as a catalyst for better living standards and environmental stewardship.

Performance and Viability

The additional battery not only enhanced range but also proved crucial in establishing financial viability. We observed battery consumption patterns under various conditions, including high speeds and heavy loads.

Financial and Environmental Benefits

One of the most significant outcomes was the financial uplift for our riders. Daily earnings increased by 3 to 4 times compared to traditional petrol-driven motorbikes. This surge in profitability, coupled with a substantial reduction in environmental impact, underscores our commitment to enhancing quality of life and achieving environmental objectives.

In summary, the pilot resulted in a 127% profit increase for our riders.
